Danielle Salcedo became the first female athlete from College of the Canyons to win an individual title, prevailing at the California Community College state championship meet by covering the 5-kilometer course in 17:54.9 at Woodward Park in Fresno. Salcedo completed the season unbeaten against two-year college competition, winning eight of nine races overall. COC finished ninth overall with 258 points.
